Its location provides for a peaceful and quiet stay, and there is no prospect of being caught in one of York's occasional floods! The apartment is situated on the ground-floor, with its own front door exit and access to the pleasant, securely gated courtyard.
Out and about - The apartment faces West, overlooking a small park, with York race course ten minutes beyond. A two minute stroll in the opposite direction takes you to the Roman city wall, and from there it takes approximately ten minutes to reach the river at a point very close to the city centre (via Micklegate - an historic street of shops and quaint cafes). Alternatively, following the city wall South, it takes less than fifteen minutes to reach Cliffords Tower and the Castle Museum. Yet another option is to walk North, past the railway station (ten minutes), to the railway museum (a further ten minutes).
